2004年12月18日开播的浙江电视台少儿频道沐浴着党和政府以及社会各界关爱的阳光，快乐成长，天天向上。开办至今，浙江少儿频道的传播规模稳步扩大，节目进入了全省11个市以及近30个经济发达县(市、区)的有线电视传输网，收视观众达3000万。浙江少儿频道有一支热爱少儿电视、高素质的主持人团队，毛毛、小丹、王婷、崔念、超超等超人气主持，以及《我要上电视等》众多优秀栏目各自拥有大批忠实的FANS。
（浙江少儿频道·ZTV8） 以儿童和家庭为主要收视对象的频道各类节目，精心创意、精心制作、精心编排，影响日益提升。《小智情报站》、《你猜谁会赢》、《活力健康对抗赛》、《阳光快乐手操》等节目以及《家有儿女情景剧场》、《合家欢剧场》颇聚人气。“青少年环西湖轮滑邀请赛”、“少儿歌手电视大赛”等年度大型活动也有了相当的社会知名度和美誉度。2006年，浙江少儿频道又成功创办了浙江春天少儿电视艺术团，并拥有一支高素质的全职艺术老师队伍。在老师的辛勤培育下，艺术团的综合水平快速提升，在少儿频道的日常节目以及“六一”、“八一”、国庆等大型综艺晚会上已初展风采，赢得了众多好评。
