主要职责和任务：
1．贯彻执行党中央、国务院关于广播电视工作的路线、方针、政策，围绕市委、政府中心工作开展服务工作；
2．负责对全市广播电视网络业务的开发与管理和技术服务；
3．承办广播电视广告宣传业务，按照广告管理法规，积极组织广告经营活动；
4．承担对全市广播电视节目的传输、发射，确保安全优质播出；
5．承担国务院《广播电视管理条例》、《广播电视设施保护条例》的行政执法管理职能；
6．协助有关部门对破坏广播电视设施、非法截传信号行为的处理工作；
7．负责全市有线电视、广播电视地面接收设施和社会公共场所电视大屏幕的管理工作；负责对全市有线电视网络的设计、施工、安装、管理和维护工作；
8．把握好广播电视的宣传导向，严格遵守宣传纪律，加强对新闻人员教育管理，不断提高新闻人员的政治业务素质；
9．负责对外宣传和本台节目的创新创优、节目审查和节目制作，不断提高宣传质量；
10.承担上级交办的其它任务。
