故城电视台建于一九八六年，现有干部职工50人，有总编室、新闻部、广告文艺部、播音制作部、播出技术部等部室。经过干部职工十几年的努力，如今，故城电视台已拥有两套自办节目，每天播出十二个多小时，全县及周边市县的百万人口能够看到故城电视台的节目。

二OO一年竣工并投入使用的一千九百平米广电中心大楼，极大的改善了电视台干部职工的办公条件。现在，故城电视台节目质量明显提高，事业建设发展迅速，新闻外宣成绩显著。故城电视台连续十六年被县委、政府授予新闻报道先进单位、文明单位，新闻外宣先进单位等称号。连续多年被衡水广电局授予新闻报道先进单位，采用稿件先进单位等称号，二OO一被河北省广电局授予先进集体荣誉称号。
