普宁市广播电视台成立于1984年5月，2006年1月实行机构体制改革，是市委宣传部直接领导下的国有事业单位，下设5个内设机构（行政股、总编室、财务股、事业股、保卫股）和5个分支机构（广播中心、电视中心、有线广播电视网络中心、广播电视发射中心、广告经营中心）。我台拥有高度268米的发射塔，电台、电视台发射功率均为一千瓦，电视信号和广播信号不仅覆盖本市，而且覆盖了毗邻3个县（市）部分地区，受益人口达300多万；有线电视信号覆盖全市大部分地区，受益人口达200多万。我台现有2套自办电视频道，开设有《普宁新闻》、《商城聚焦》、《普宁风物》等节目栏目；现有1套广播频率，开设有《普宁新闻》、《社会聚焦》、《娱乐圈圈圈》、《快乐一点》、《开心直通车》等节目栏目；2008年，我台在全省率先推进有线数字电视整转工作，经过10年的努力，发展了一定规模的用户群，目前我台市区有线数字电视用户约33000户，有线电视网络现传送数字电视节目130套。努力打造普宁电视台和普宁电台微信公众号，服务广播电视相关栏目的宣传需求，目前粉丝量和阅读量呈逐月上升的趋势，有效地提高了主流媒体的影响力和吸引力。
