Introduction to 广东南方卫视
广东南方卫视（TVS-2/2★，简称南方卫视，又称广东广播电视台粤语频道），是一个以粤语播送为主的卫星电视频道，是中国大陆获国家广电总局批准上星的地方语言电视频道。该台声称该频道是中国内地第一个纯粤语播出的卫星电视频道。
南方卫视的前身为1994年6月2日启播的广东有线广播电视台第1台都市频道。2001年7月1日，根据当局的法令，撤销广东有线广播电视台，将其体育频道划归广东电视台管理，余下的其他频道与广东经济电视台整合成“南方电视台”，南方电视台都市频道正式启播。
2004年7月28日，频道上星，分为在广东省内外播出的两个频道，省内版继续使用南方都市的呼号，卫星版则命名为南方电视台卫星频道（简称南方卫视）。两个频道实行两套节目表。
2010年，南方卫视和南方都市统一频道呼号为南方卫视，省内版命名为南方卫视（地面版），省外版则命名为南方卫视（上星版）。上星版的台标在地面版台标的基础上以数字2的右上角加上小星分别。
2014年5月起，因应原南方广播影视传媒集团、广东人民广播电台、广东电视台、南方电视台、广东广播电视技术中心合并为广东广播电视台后的调整，原南方卫视更名为“广东南方卫视”，但台徽保持不变。
2015年7月起，广东南方卫视更换节目包装，同时启用全新口号“心随梦想”。
