遵化人民广播电台成立于1995年12月。广播电台节目实行微波发射，调频频率为97.6兆赫，同时负责按时转播中央人民广播电台和河北人民广播电台的有关节目。
伴随着电视、广播宣传工作的日臻完善，2005年初《遵广传媒》报正式创刊，2008年10月，又更名为《遵化周报》，由每周一期增刊到每周二期，成为继广播、电视之后的又一主流媒体。
为充分利用网络传媒优势，进一步提升遵化对外知名度和影响力，扩大广播、电视、报纸的宣传范围。2011年9月1日，经过3个多月的紧张筹备，遵化广电网站正式开通运行，实现了遵化广播电视台的所有广播电视节目和《遵化周报》的栏目内容网上查询，未来将实现与遵化广播电视播出节目同步网上直播。遵化广电网站也是我市目前最大的官方门户网站，和最大的信息发布平台。自此遵化广播电视台实现了广播、电视、报纸、网络的现代四大媒体全覆盖，并形成了广播、电视、报纸、网络的现代宣传手段体系化管理。
