黔西南电视台英文简写QXNTV，是具有独立法人资格的有线综合娱乐性电视台。隶属于黔西南州广播电视局。有台长1名，副台长3名，总编辑1名，副总编辑2名;管理人员20名，专业技术人员73名，工勤人员5名。两套广播信号覆盖广西、云南、贵州三省区600万人口，有线数字电视收视用户20万，手机报用户3万多户。
根据州府函(2002)88号文件，兴义市电视台成建制上划，与原黔西南电视台合并，新组建黔西南电视台，机构规格为副县级事业单位，隶属于黔西南州广播电视局，定编事业编制98人，其中，领导职数：台长1名，副台长3名，总编辑1名，副总编辑2名;管理人员20名，专业技术人员73名，工勤人员5名。列入州财政定额预算。现有人员104人，其中正式职工83人。
现拥有FM107.9MHz新闻综合广播、FM88.3MHz交通旅游广播、综合频道、公共频道、数字电视13频道、金州广播网、黔西南网络电视、手机报《金州快报》、《贵州汽车手机报》和由台控股的三家文化产业公司。业务形态涵盖了广播、电视、网络、手机等，其中，两套广播信号覆盖广西、云南、贵州三省区600万人口，有线数字电视收视用户20万，手机报用户3万多户。随着资源的进一步整合，黔西南广播电视台现已成为传统媒体和新兴媒体相互融合的区域性传媒。
黔西南电视台下设办公室、总编室、财务室、监察室、技术部、新闻中心、社教中心、旅游文艺中心、兴义记者站、广告中心(公司)、工会、策划部、录制部、信息中心;民生类节目《金州新视线》和黔西南电视台网站正在筹建之中，拟于2010年7月1日正式开播。
黔西南电视台现位于兴义市桔山新区碧云路广电大楼，2009年建成三讯道100㎡的数字演播室和二讯道70㎡的数字虚拟演播室;拥有非线性编辑站点20个和二频道硬盘播出系统;前期采访设备全部采用数字设备。
