株洲电视台公共法制频道是在原经济频道的基础上，科学规划整合经营而成立的，它定位于"宣传法制、弘扬正气、 维护权益 、服务大众"，以“构建和谐株洲、推进依法治市、服务百姓大众”为己任，把“公平、正义、正气”作为频道的主要诉求与核心理念，以"与法同行"作为频道主宣传语。
栏目介绍
法制频道推行"频道专业化"、"内容品牌化"的立台策略，着力打造系列品牌节目。主要栏目有三档法制类栏目：株洲电视容量最大的法制新闻栏目《24小时》，法制专题访谈栏目《今晚看法》;引进法制类专题《法制视点》、《法治中国》等。《株洲人物》，是市委、市政府主办，市委宣传部承办，法制频道执行承办的一档大型访谈类电视栏目，创作大手笔，起点高标准的一档节目，节目从开播以来，受到各个阶层人士的关注，收视率一直稳居前例。《天下网事》作为一档编辑性节目，用灵活多样的电视形式，让观众足不出户，一网打尽天下事。晚间设置精彩电视剧连续播出及电影回放。目前，株洲电视台法制频道信号已覆盖株洲市区、市属五县(市)，并通过无线宽带网络，让数万散居市郊及农村居民收看到频道节目。
