频道概况：
中央数字电视老年福频道是经国家广电总局批准，由山西广播电视总台主办的，我国唯一面向全国老年观众的数字电视付费频道。从2005年10月8日开始，以央视独资的中数传媒为集成传输平台上星播出。现已在全国三十一个省（市、区）落地，落地总户数达到6800多万。每天7：00－23：00播出16小时。2009年起，连续三年被评为全国十佳数字频道。在全国数字付费频道评优中，被中国广播电视协会、中国广播电视协会付费频道工作委员会，评为 2010年度最受目标观众欢迎的频道。
频道理念：
老年福频道的理念口号是秋天的春风，就是让人生和生命处于秋天的老人们，在老年福频道温暖的春风吹拂下，唤发出生命的新的青春。频道以“服务生活，愉悦心灵”的宗旨，为全国老年朋友搭建了一个方便生活、获取信息、抒发情感、享受娱乐的平台。

同时，协办并录制播出了第九届中国老年合唱节、中华不老城放歌长江合唱、舞蹈、服饰展演活动；主办了“大同证券杯全国首届中老年歌手电视大赛”；另外，2010--2012年连续三年在北京主办了全国中老年重阳节电视联欢晚会、全国中老年春节电视联欢晚会等，均取得了很好的社会效果。
