盐城广播电视台是2002年在盐城人民广播电台、盐城电视台、盐城有线电视台、盐城广播电视报社等8个事业单位合并的基础上组建的。盐城广播电视台自办三套广播、四套电视节目。此外还拥有《今周刊》、《东方声屏》杂志及盐城广播电视网站等纸质、电子传媒。事业技术与时俱进，不断创新，目前拥有6讯道电视直播车和广播直播车，建成新闻编辑网和硬盘播出系统，实现了广电发射固态化、摄录数字化和播出自动化。盐城电视台能有效覆盖盐城市九个县(市、区)及周边省市，受众超过1200万。
盐城电视一套原为盐城电视台第一套节目，以新闻、精品电视剧为主。即新闻综合频道。主持人有：张玮、于波、梁旗琛、尹楷艳、周雨婷等
