黔东南广播电视台，原来仅有一个频道，于2002年与凯里市电视台合并，凯里市暂停播出电视节目之后增加一个频道。后来不断增加频道，原来为5个电视频道，目前只有2个电视频道（综合频道、公共频道）、2个广播电台。
从2016年9月23日起根据国家新闻出版广电总局的要求，对部分频道和栏目进行调整，原公共频道、大健康频道、经济法制频道、生活影视频道将暂停播出;凯里频道调整至贵州广电网络10频道、14频道同步播出;原大健康频道的《黔东南大健康新闻》、原经济法制频道的《法制黔东南》栏目调整至新闻综合频道播出;原公共频道的《百姓零距离》、原经济法制频道的《时尚家居》栏目调整至凯里频道播出。
