泉港广播电视业近年来发展较为迅猛。 1997年，广播电影电视部正式批示成立惠安有线电视台。 2001年1月改名为泉港电视台。 2001 年 9 月，投资 4000 多万元兴建广播电视中心大厦，建成后可成为泉港区标志性景观之一。
目前，有线电视台自 98 年 1 月《惠安有线新闻》正式开播以来，已先后设置十多档节目，现有《泉港新闻》、《社会写真》、《廉政月谈》、《依法行政》、《交通与安全》、《人才与就业》、《关注一体化》、《生存空间》、《泉港农业》等节目。另有《黄金十八点》、《影视天地》、《午夜剧院》等影视节目。
