Introduction to iHQ Drama
iHQ 계열의 드라마 전문 채널. 과거 WCN 월드시네마 네트워크였으나 이후 시리즈TV라는 이름이 되었다가 2006년 12월 12일부터 드라맥스라는 이름으로 송출하고 있다.
비 지상파 계열 드라마 채널임에도 불구하고 생각보다 최신의 드라마들을 틀어주는 경향이 있다. 심지어 실제 지상파에 방송을 하고 일주일도 되지 않아 드라맥스에서 해당 에피소드가 방송되기도 한다.
예를 들어, 주말 드라마의 경우 일요일에 지상파에서 해당 드라마 본방송 하기 한 두 시간 전에 전날인 토요일 방송 에피소드를 드라맥스에서 방송하기도 한다. 즉, 토요일 방송을 미처 못 챙긴 시청자가 드라맥스를 통해서 토요일 방송을 보고 연달아 해당 지상파 채널에서 일요일 방송을 매끄럽게 볼 수 있다는 것.
다만, 모든 드라마에 해당되는 얘기는 아니니 편성표를 꼭 참고해야 한다.
지상파 드라마뿐만 아니라 TV동물농장이나 수요미식회, 기막힌 이야기 실제상황 같은 예능/교양 프로그램들도 사다가 편성하고 있으며, 같은 iHQ 계열 채널들의 프로그램(맛있는 녀석들 등)의 재방송도 편성하고 있으며, 2018년 이후로는 tvN / JTBC의 예능 및 드라마도 편성하고 있다.
드라마나 예능 프로그램의 재방송이 아닌 자체 제작 드라마를 편성하기도 한다. 자체 드라마는 또한 MBN에서도 동시방영한다.
2022년 2월 21일부로 채널명을 iHQ DRAMA로, CUBE TV는 iHQ SHOW로 바꾼다. 다분히 tvN DRAMA, tvN SHOW를 의식한 작명이다.
