Introduction to 국악방송
국악방송(國樂放送, Gugak Broadcasting System)은 대한민국 전통 및 창작 국악 보급 교육과 국악의 대중화를 위하여 2000년 2월 14일에 설립된 문화체육관광부 소관의 재단법인으로 대한민국의 국악 전문 공영 방송국이다. 2000년 12월에 국립국악원의 주도로 대한민국의 전통음악인 국악만을 전문으로 취급하는, 세계에서도 유례가 없는 독특한 라디오 방송국으로 개국하였다. 본래 서초구 서초동 국립국악원 내에 있었으나, 국립국악원 건물의 노후화 등으로 2007년 2월 4일에 마포구 상암동으로 이전하였다. 광주와 대전에 라디오 방송국을 차례로 확장하였고 2019년 12월 27일 TV방송국을 개국하였다.
